About Shesha Vedic Sciences

The Gunasamya Center is located in the subtropical Nanjo, Okinawa (15 km South of Naha) and is surrounded by banana, turmeric and sugarcane farms. The air is fresh and the solitude is conducive for both deep healing and learning. There is also a range of comfortable accommodations very close for those requiring long term treatment, studies, or a therapeutic retreat.

Atma Dharmindra is a healer, writer, astrologer, painter, and rajayogayukta with over 20 years teaching experience.  After completing his studies in Visual Art at the Istituto d'Arte di Catania, Sicily he has traveled the world learning and synthesizing the core archetypes of spirituality in a scientific, practical and progressive way. He has studied directly in the Haisndayin Apache tribe, with the Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa (Yogi Bhajan), Dr. Vasant Lad, Tenshin Zenki Reb Anderson, K.L.Mantri, as well in the Soto Zen monastery established by Shunryo Suzuki Roshi, and the original school founded by George Ivanovich Gurdjieff.   Atma has received Zhi-khro initiation, mantra diksha by the Nishkama Karma Yogi, Sri Swami Vimalanandaji Maharaj (current President of Swami Sivananda Saraswati's Divine Life Society), performed Dhanvantari Puja with both Dr. Lad and Robert Svoboda,  and regularly took private lessons and attended the Satsang of the prolific Vedantist, and Jyotish Acharya K.L. Mantriji, who taught many remarkable methods for interpreting the Absolute in today's world, primarily through Shastra.

Atma has taught throughout Canada, USA, Israel, and Japan, and is best known for his knack of interpreting astrological phenomena and is preeminent in the field of Trividya Chikitsa, particularly where Astrology, Ayurveda, and Yoga converge.  This being the obvious result of Atma`s primary influences being Yogi Bhajan, responsible for exporting Kundalini Yoga, then the Mahan Tantric`s Ayurvedic Mentor and Physician Dr. Vasant Lad responsible for firmly planting the seeds of Ayurveda in the West, followed by Krishan Mantri, who ignited Jyotish outside of India.

In 2009 Atma`s mentor advised he move to the Far East to assist the people to reimport the Vedic and Tantric Sciences. In 2012 Atma established Shesha Vedic Sciences for this very purpose, and in 2013 opened The Healing Space in Naha, Okinawa, where he taught and consulted daily.  In 2015,  Atma edited the research and composed astrological charts for the book  “Astronomical Dating of the Mahabharata War” by Dieter Koch. In 2016 he introduced Yogadarśana: Pātañjalayogasūtras Online Certification Course,  offering authoritative insight, through correct chanting and memorization of the Yogasutras in their original Sanskrit. In 2017 as well as co-authoring the books: Eye On Yoga - Ayurveda & Jyotish Astrology Almanac, and A Rishi Among Us: Tales of Krishan Mantri, with a part tribute, part homage piece to his Jyotish mentor, Atma opened The Gunasamya Centre, introduced Shesha Online Gurukula, and launched the Vedic Counselling  Certification Program™.   In 2018 Atma received an Honorary Doctorate in Vedic Sciences and Shesha Vedic Sciences became a member of the International Association of Vedic Hindu Universities. Atma is current a faculty member at Maharshi Vedvyas International Virtual Vedic University (Gujarat, India), seeing clients at Shesha Vedic Sciences’ Gunasamya Centre in Okinawa, and teaching and consulting through Shesha Online Gurukula.
